 "On The Ice" - Portions of the song about Hockey was used in the O'Leary video entry during the Hockeyville competitions. In the end O'Leary recieved the second most votes in the country second only to the winner Salmon River.
 
 Author Jay Scott Kanes (John Cairns) has released a book entitled "Island Toes a Tappin"
a definitive story of PEI's musical scene. "MacAllar Road" is included in the companion cd with many other fine Island artist and song writers.An honor.
 
 Recording on a new project will begin in December with former Haywire member Ronnie Switzer . Patrick Allen(Covergirl,Tim Chaisson) and Steve MacNeil(Roger Jones) will play drums and percussion and Ronnie Switzer (Haywire)will add Bass Guitar.John will be calling on other musicians as this project progresses.
 
  On Feburary 3, John will take the stage for the grand opening of The Cavern, Montague. Chuck and Albert will be headlining.
 
 
   April 20th John will be performing at the 4th annual P.E.I. Guitar Festival , Brittania Hall, Tyne Valley. Charlie Acourt will be headlining.
 
   June 27th will see John and Guitarist W.B. Johnson  share the stage with London, Englands 100 Mile House and Charlottetowns own Blind Prophets. Looking forward to a fun filled musical evening. Show starts at 9 pm.
